February 2023 Club Meeting

The next club meeting will be February 7th at 6pm and will feature Mariah Roady, Director of Development at EarlystART.  Mariah will join the Leawood Lions to share information about the impact with the EarlystART has had on the local community. EarlystART is a local nonprofit started in 1967 (and formerly known as United Inner City Services/UICS) which helps with early childhood education and family outreach to support a community where children thrive and families flourish.

EarlystART has long been recognized as an industry leader in early childhood education, family outreach, and providing an arts-based learning experience that promotes social and emotional development. It is a catalyst in the community sparking change, actively altering the early childhood education conversation, and leading by example.

We hope you will all be able to join the Leawood Lions next Tuesday at Leawood City Hall where we will hear about EarlystART and how it has developed programs to encourage students to explore new interests and embrace the unknown, preparing them for kindergarten at a rate that far exceeds the city’s average and becoming lifelong learners.
