Leawood Lions Club award academic scholarships to four area youth.
Area students participated in an academic scholarship application process offered by the Leawood Lions Club. Eligible applicants must be a resident of either Leawood or Overland Park, Kansas, they are currently enrolled as a Junior or a Senior at a secondary school, and they plan to attend a two, three, or four-year accredited institution of higher learning. After reviewing all submitted applications, the Scholarship Review Committee for the Leawood Lions Club have award Five Hundred Dollar Scholarships to these four students.
- Stella Callahan, a Bishop Miege High school student.
- Gabby Rackers, a St. James Academy High School student.
- Saketh Pradhan, a senior at Blue Valley West High School.
- Logan Shaffer a senior at Blue Valley North West High School.
The Lions Club empowers volunteers and partners to improve health and well-being, strengthen communities, and support those in need through humanitarian services and grants that impact lives.
